Jimmy Katranis a scenic artist by trade, worked for Warner Brothers Studio for more than a decade, creating the back-drops to some of our favorite films; The Green Mile, Charlie's Angles, The Cat In The Hat, Speed, Batman, and hundreds more, they all benefited from his artistry.  Jimmy also does commissioned fine art oil paintings of your beloved family members or cherished pets. His work as been seen by millions of people around the world. In April 2001 the birth of Jimmy's twin boys, Jamie and Jimmy Jr., changed his life forever.

Jimmy started bringing his work home, at night and on the weekends. He used his paints to bring a storybook setting to life, in the nursery.  A giant oak tree spread it's leaves across three walls and even the ceiling was transformed in the soft, blue sky.  Beck, his wife and the boys loved to play in the room. The walls were populated with animals that Jimmy told stories about, when it was time for bed.

Jimmy's versatile talent can be seen on hundreds of his  clients' wall murals.  Those who view his work are stunned  by the reality of the scenes which he brings to life in every project.  Form crazy cartoons, to the air brushed clouds blowing across a pale blue sky, a fireplace finish, to fine art Italian vistas, Jimmy does it all.  His designs were custom created with the families so that pets, favorite books, even the beach where one couple was married, was incorporated into the murals.  Whatever the project. wherever the home, Jimmy always brought his great sense of humor and pours his heart into his work. That was over two years ago.  Since then the Ventura County Star has written about this work for the Music Man at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center and he has been featured on the cover of Home Fashion magazine.  The demand for Jimmy has grown to the point that he is now able to realize his own dream: creating personalized murals for families and business full-time.
